The main challenge I had when arriving at Newington Community Primary School around 5 years ago was to bring a building built in the 1950s into the world of 21st-century technology.
From the beginning we have worked together to update the backbone of the school, including things like a complete fibre link across the school, PoE switches throughout the building to bring not only the computer systems up to date but also a new independent telephone system.
A reliable and sustainable network not only over LAN but also wirelessly across the building.
A safe and secure system, but also a very manageable system that tailored to our specific needs. It has also given us the added benefit of allowing us to add to our current infrastructure without impacting on our current system.
The main noticeable difference is the reliability of the system, before we had a network not fit for purpose and would constantly get in the way of our day to day running’s, we now have a system built to last that I have full confidence in.
