NCS Technology are pleased to announce that they have won a significant tender to replace the lighting in Royal Greenwich Council’s Head Office in Woolwich. Following a two-year process which included installing test areas around the building to ensure the suitability of an LED lighting system, NCS will commence the project this autumn, with a projected completion by Spring 2021.
The work at The Woolwich Centre, which includes the Woolwich Library, will involve the replacement of over 5600 light fittings with bespoke LED fittings manufactured by Earlsmann Lighting based in Tiverton, Devon. Aside from creating an improved working environment for council employees and users of the facilities at Woolwich Library, the new lighting system will also dramatically reduce the Council’s energy consumption. It is estimated that the energy efficient fittings will reduce electricity consumption by up to 60% and CO2 output by 400 tons per year.
NCS Technology Limited are delighted to be working alongside the Royal Borough of Greenwich to significantly reduce their energy costs and make the Borough a greener place to live.
